far cry 3

First-person shooter game Far Cry 3 was created by Ubisoft Montreal and released by Ubisoft in 2012. Following Far Cry 2, it is the third major entry in the Far Cry series. The game is set in the fictitious tropical archipelago of Rook Islands, where players are free to explore. Combat and exploration are the main game mechanics. The game includes role-playing game components like skill trees and experience, and players can utilise a range of weaponry to battle dangerous fauna and human foes. Jason Brody, the main character, must rescue his pals who have been captured by pirates during a vacation gone wrong and flee the island and its insane residents.

When the game was first launched in June 2011, Ubisoft used a variety of companion applications, webseries, and crossover to advertise it. In November 2012, it was made available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Upon its release, the game garnered positive reviews from critics who praised its gameplay, characters (especially Vaas), world design, graphics, and advancement. However, the multiplayer modes of the game drew criticism. The game was a commercial success, selling 10 million copies despite the lacklustre pre-order sales. Many gaming publications nominated it for year-end awards, including Game of the Year and Best Shooter honours. One of the best video games ever created has also been said about it. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the game's third installment, was released by Ubisoft as downloadable content to promote the game.

Players can freely explore Rook Islands, which is an open world. Dune buggies, all-terrain vehicles, cargo trucks, jet skis, yachts and hang gliding are just a few of the vehicles Jason is capable of using for transportation. Players will come across a Jason-specific wingsuit later on in the game.Jason will run across various friendly towns where he can buy supplies and weapons[10] and finish side tasks like assassination and hunting assignments.[3] A variety of animals, including leopards and sharks, call Rook Islands home, and the artificial intelligence (AI) in the game allows them to interact with one another to imitate a natural ecology.[11] Players can get the raw materials needed to create new equipment like weapon holsters and ammunition by hunting various animals and collecting their carcasses

The game has a cooperative multiplayer mode for four players that takes place six months before the main game's events. The game mode offers five different class options: bodyguard, rusher, deadeye, saboteur, and warrior. The loadouts and weapons for each class can be changed by the player.[25] Players can use the "battle cry" feature in multiplayer, which increases the team's health, accuracy, and running speed.[26] Two teams compete against one another to acquire control points in the game's competitive multiplayer modes, Team Deathmatch and Domination.[27] Another variation of Domination is Transmission, in which the control points are mobile radio transmitters. In Firestorm, a team must set fire to two fuel dumps that are being held by an opposing team while preventing the ignition of their own.[26] killing foes one by one while restoring the team

plot

Gianpaolo Venuta's character, Jason Brody, is visiting Bangkok, Thailand, with some pals. They accidentally land on the fictitious Rook Islands while skydiving, where they are taken captive by the pirate lord Vaas Montenegro (Michael Mando), who plans to sell them into slavery. Jason manages to flee with the aid of his murdered older brother Grant (Lane Edwards). Dennis (Charles Malik Whitfield), an adopted member of the Rakyat tribe that inhabited the islands, saves Jason. Jason receives the Tatau, the tattoos of a Rakyat warrior, from Dennis because he sees in him the potential of a warrior. Jason discovers Daisy (Natalie Brown), a friend of his, while assisting the Rakyat, at the residence of botanist Dr. Earnhardt (Martin Kevan). Jason's abilities impress the Rakyat, who let him

Aided by Earnhardt and CIA agent Willis Huntley (Alain Goulem), Jason helps the Rakyat retake their island from the pirates while also finding and rescuing his girlfriend Liza (Mylène Dinh-Robic) and his friends Keith (James A. Woods) and Oliver (Kristian Hodko). After several encounters with Vaas, Jason learns Vaas is Citra's brother who betrayed the Rakyat after becoming addicted to drugs brought by his employer, Hoyt Volker (Steve Cumyn), a South African slave trader and drug lord. Jason soon matures into a fearsome and skilled warrior and, revered by the Rakyat, begins to enjoy all the killing while growing more distant from his friends.
Citra has sex with Jason while he is under the effects of hallucinogens, after which she asks him to stay on the island. Deciding to remain, Jason bids goodbye to his friends and heads to Vaas' pirate base, discovering Vaas has set up a trap for him. Jason survives but then enters a delusional, dream-like state where he must fight multiple duplicates of Vaas. He eventually reaches the real Vaas and stabs him with the Dragon Knife,[b] before collapsing. Jason awakens with Citra in the Rakyat temple and promises to kill Hoyt for her.
With Huntley's assistance, Jason is able to go to Hoyt's island. There, he meets Sam Becker (Stephen Bogaert), another undercover agent who assists Jason in infiltrating Hoyt's army. Jason finds out that Riley, his younger brother, is alive and being held hostage by Hoyt at this time. Jason defeats Riley to keep up the masquerade while Hoyt is filming them, but when Becker replays the tape, Jason is exposed. As soon as Jason gains Hoyt's trust, he and Becker decide to murder him at a poker game. But when they begin to play, Hoyt kills Becker by admitting he watched through the looping footage. In a knife struggle, Jason kills Hoyt and his men while suffering a partial finger loss, and Riley helps him leave the island.

Cooperative campaign

Six months before Jason arrives on the Rook Islands, ex-Scottish gangster Callum (Stuart Martin), discharged US Army combat medic Tisha (Alana Maria), retired corrupt Philadelphia police officer Leonard (Nigel Whitmey) and former Russian hitman Mikhail (Nick Nevern) find work on the cruise ship MS Astrid. However, pirates capture the Astrid and its passengers after the captain sells them out in exchange for the ship's payroll. The cooperative campaign centers around the four characters fighting against pirates and privateers in the Rook Islands as they pursue the captain.

Development

The principal developer of the game, Ubisoft Montreal, was in charge of making the single-player. The game's multiplayer component was made by Massive Entertainment, the missions and wildlife AI were created by Ubisoft Shanghai, the quality assurance was handled by Ubisoft Bucharest, the vehicles were designed by Ubisoft Reflections with assistance from Ubisoft Montreal, and the PC version and user interface were made by Red Storm Entertainment. The game's early concept art was produced by West Studio.[31] Pre-production for the game began in 2008[32], and more than 90 individuals contributed to its creation.[33] Far Cry 3 was initially intended to have a single cohesive story with the series' prior entries, but this was dropped as the game's production progressed.
